Attended the preview night for exhibitors and friends held at the RBSA last Thursday . A wide and varied selection of artistic designs are on show and I would highly recommend a visit.

My imagination was captured by the story of the Seven Sisters that lie in The Pleiades constellation. The time is fast approaching!! The exhibition is being held this weekend at a number of venues within the Shropshire area. There is a wide variety of artistic styles represented and so there is sure to be something that appeals.Please come and support as many of the artists taking part as you can.
Just finished these two paintings which will be off to Birmingham in the next week!! I have called them ‘All Greek to me’ Parts 1 & 2 as they are heavily influenced by my work with Geometry during my time as a Maths Teacher.
Unfortunately my painting of ‘The Late Mrs Grindley’s Garden’ was ‘shortlisted but not hung’ by the Royal Academy which was for me a close call – better luck next year I suppose! Just managed to finish painting these 3 pictures in gouache before traveling to London tomorrow. RA backdoor followed by Monet Exhibition. Plus looking forward to meeting up with daughter Lizzie for a spot of lunch !!
MOTHER’S DAY I am really missing my daughters today – both away busy working at Uni. However it’s an opportunity to finish this work – ‘Stackpole Winter Break’. I very much enjoyed my time away at this comfortable, warm, welcoming winter retreat. We stayed at the Calf Cot.
